A very cold day in Munich and therefore a perfect day for indoor activities. I took a taxi from my hotel to the Munich Residence Museum and thought this visit would take about one hour, but it took me over two hours to see everything that the museum offered. It felt like it would never end. The museum was from the beginning the former royal palace of the Bavarian monarchs of the House of Wittelsbach, and it is the largest city palace in Germany, containing a total of 130 rooms.
From the desert and the mountains of Oman to a wintery Munich in Germany. Lots of snow and extremely cold! But that doesn't stop me from loving this city. Henrik went back to his work in Gothenburg after our trip to Oman and I flew to this wonderful place. There are a lot of beautiful sights to see in Munich, so during my first day I improvised my own walking tour around the city centre. Of course I got lost a couple of times, but that tends to happen a lot when I travel alone. On the bright side, I get to see places that I otherwise wouldn't have found. This time I found Alter Südfriedhof, established in 1563 as a plague cemetery.
